The World Radiosport Team Championship is an amateur radio competition. Participation is by invitation only. Entry to each quadrennial WRTC requires qualification through high positions in major world radio contests. I49N notable as a super spotter on the weekend seems to have been a participant, though I can’t trace him anywhere.
I worked FR8TZ (Reunion Is) on 10m FT8.
Other interesting DX stations were PJ2ND (Curacao), K2L (USA), 9Q1ZZ, 9Q1AA (DR Congo) and LT4RCA (Argentina)

Sun: Today there are 10, possibly more sunspots visible. [Don’t look using binoculars or telescope or even naked eye!] AR3363 is a whoper.
A magnetic filament in the sun's southern hemisphere erupted on July 11th (movie) and hurled a CME into space. It appears to be a lopsided full halo CME with an Earth-directed component. NOAA is analyzing the CME now.
Footy: No news (is good news?)
Other News: England won the 3rd Ashes Test in the most exciting match since the last one (which we narrowly lost). The next one starts on Wednesday 19that Old Trafford, Manchester. NOT the Man United football ground.
