Here is the 80 page RAF Gutersloh Information Handbook 5th edition as issued to new arrivals in 1980. One of the most comprehensive arrival guide I ever received.
1980, at the height of the Cold War, at and air base built by the German armed forces and officially opened in 1937.
Unfortunately, the base is now abandoned and has been left to decay whilst a decision is made as to its future.
